Astronomy Course Starts Wed 23 July 2025
Runs 8 consecutive Wed evenings. 7pm to 9:30pm approx
For all members of the public from Year 10 (High School) to retirement interested in astronomy. Activity-based practicals. No telescopes required. Certificate on completion.

★ Wed 13 Aug Observing the Solar System
★ Wed 20 Aug Stars have Colour & Brightness
★ Wed 27 Aug Observing Deep Sky Objects
★ Wed 3 Sept Intro to Big Bang Theory
★ Wed 10 Sept New Developments in Astronomy & Space, Basic terms in Astro-Photography
Recommended: Additional Saturday evenings observing during the course, dark-sky location with our mentor volunteers & hands on their equipment & telescopes.
Alternative wet or cloudy or windy weather program provided.
